For Capt. Anne McIntyre, Cal Poly Maritime Academy was the start of a lifelong connection to the water. ⚓️

A two-time Maritime alum ('88, '13), McIntyre built a distinguished career in the maritime industry, becoming the first woman pilot on Oregon's Columbia River. She now continues to stay connected to the academy through student mentoring and alumni involvement.

Danielle Bonnet (Chemistry, '16) is bringing science to life through neon art.

Recently featured on CBS's Mission Unstoppable, a program encouraging young girls to explore STEM fields, Danielle shared the science behind creating neon signs, blending her biochemistry background with neon artistry.

Danielle credits Cal Poly’s Learn by Doing approach as part of what helped her get where she is today. Her work is a bright example of what’s possible when science and art come together.

Thousands of came together for Cal Poly Night with the San Francisco Giants, and two-time Maritime graduate Anne McIntyre represented us on the field with the ceremonial first pitch.

Once a Mustang, always a Mustang. A group of longtime friends and former classmates recently came together to celebrate and support Grindstone Wines owner Michael Doherty (Fruit Science, '91) during the family business's sixth anniversary celebration.

The moment is a reminder of the strength of the Cal Poly alumni community — friendships that continue and connections that grow.
