At PCI, we teach through 10 core concepts, NOT just exercises.

Here, we’re working with Concept #2 (Length) and Concept #4 (Articulation). 💪

The common pattern we see with strong students is lifting the chest from one place instead of articulating through the ribs. When that happens, they often lift too high, skip the articulation of the spine, and lose length — creating effort without even distribution. 🚫

The work as a teacher is not to cue harder or add reps, but to:
    •    Identify the error (your Pilates eye) 👁️
    •    Identify the missing concept (here: articulation + length) 📚
    •    Choose the right tool or exercise to make that concept clear 🔧
    •    Help the client embody it so they can apply it elsewhere 💪

We explored a few tools to see what would land, and it ended up being the simplest one: hands-on feedback, asking her to articulate up and around only where I was touching. 🤝

There’s nothing structural holding her back.

This is about understanding and embodying articulation — and once a client feels that, it carries into the rest of their work. 🌟
