Dec 2, Tues, 6p-7p: Know Your Rights on SB 59: The Transgender Privacy Act - Webinar
Hosted by Equality California
SB 59, signed by Governor Newsom last month, makes all court records for name and gender marker changes confidential beginning July 1, 2026. The law also allows people who filed their petitions before July 1, 2026 to request confidentiality now through a simple, streamlined process.
This webinar will answer common questions about the law and walk through exactly how you can file a request to make your records confidential before the automatic protections take effect.

📣 PRIDE IS PROTEST — TAKE ACTION NOW 🏳️‍🌈
Pride Month just began, but instead of celebrating, we’re fighting for the survival of critical LGBTQ+ health equity programs. Governor Newsom’s May Budget Revision proposes over $40 MILLION in cuts to the Office of Health Equity, threatening:
❌ The California Reducing Disparities Project (CRDP)
❌ The Reproductive Justice Fund
❌ Gender Health Equity Section (GHES) programs serving LBTQ+ women, TGI Californians, and LGBTQ+ youth of color and rural youth

These programs are already in motion and saving lives. Cutting them midstream erases the community trust, support, and healing we’ve worked hard to build.

This Pride Month, show up for your community.
📞 Here’s how to take action:
1. Go to findyourrep.legislature.ca.gov to find your State Assembly + Senate reps
2. Call or email using our sample script (link in bio!)
3. Download & share a graphic from our social media toolkit
4. Ask your community to do the same — voices matter
5. Tag legislative leaders and budget chairs to demand they stop the cuts and fund health equity.
💬 Tell your legislators:
Restore funding. Defend health equity. Our lives are not negotiable.
