Teamwork starts early! 💙

Our toddlers had so much fun working together during outdoor play. Through collaboration, communication, and problem-solving, they worked together to create a plan for their water play, guiding the flow of water to where they wanted it to go. They also used their imaginations as they prepared some delicious pretend food together! 💧🍲

These moments of shared play help children practice taking turns, listening to their friends, sharing ideas, and discovering that working together can make big things happen.

At CDRC, we love creating opportunities for children to connect, cooperate, and grow together through meaningful play experiences. ☀️🌿

🪣💙 Filling Buckets, One Kind Act at a Time! 💙🪣

Last week our PreK class was learning about the powerful theme of Bucket Filling—the idea that kindness, compassion, and encouragement can brighten someone else’s day while filling our own hearts, too.

Through stories, conversations, art activities, and everyday interactions, our students are discovering that simple acts like sharing, using kind words, helping a friend, or including someone in play can make a big difference.

Teaching kindness at an early age helps children develop empathy, build strong friendships, strengthen their social-emotional skills, and create a positive classroom community where everyone feels valued and loved.

We encourage families to continue the bucket-filling fun at home by noticing and celebrating acts of kindness each day. Together, we can help raise caring, confident, and compassionate children—one bucket at a time! 💛

✨ Sensory play is so much more than just fun—it’s an important part of early childhood development! 💛

Whether children are exploring water, sand, paint, playdough, or different textures, they’re building essential skills through hands-on experiences. Sensory play helps develop fine motor skills, encourages problem-solving, supports language development, and fosters creativity and confidence.

At CDRC, we love creating opportunities for our children to explore, discover, and learn through play. Every scoop, squish, pour, and splash is helping little minds make big connections!

Learning doesn’t always happen at a table—it often happens with curious hands, messy smiles, and joyful exploration. 🌈🫶

❄️🐧 This week, our Pre-K class is exploring the icy wonders of Antarctica! 🌎✨

Our little learners have been busy discovering all about this fascinating continent through hands-on activities and creative projects. We read books about penguins and learned how these amazing animals survive in such a cold environment. 🐧📚

The children also painted their very own igloos, conducted exciting milk experiments, and participated in a variety of Antarctic-themed activities that encouraged curiosity, creativity, and scientific thinking. 🎨🥛🔬

We love watching our students learn through play as they explore new places, animals, and ideas from around the world. What a fun week of discovery! ❄️💙
