We are so proud of what our Green Hornets & Tandi Family Farms are doing together.
Our students are getting an edible education and our families come pick fresh produce to take home.

BIG NEWS FOR OUR GROWING COMMUNITY! 🥦✨
We are thrilled to announce that  Roosevelt Elementary School Victory Garden has officially been selected to receive a $1,200 Garden Grant from the High Plains Foundation (HPF)—one of only 24 awarded across all of California! Out of a highly competitive pool of applicants, R passion for hands-on learning truly stood out.
With less than 2% of the U.S. population producing the food we eat, bridging the gap between kids and their food source has never been more important. Thanks to this grant we are bringing agricultural education directly into the classroom and expanding our garden  program at Roosevelt!
A huge thank you to the HPF Board of Trustees for supporting our vision to enrich young minds through regenerative farming.
Thank you to our amazing teachers, volunteers, and partners at Tandi Family Farms who make learning grow every day. Stay tuned for progress updates and watch us grow! 🍅🌻🎉

We're excited to welcome guest speaker Mary Sobrero, who will share practical tips and resources to help families navigate technology and support their children's learning. Childcare and food will be provided, making it easy to attend.

After morning drop-off, don't rush off just yet! Join us at the lunch tables outside of the Multi-purpose room for coffee, donuts, and a chance to connect with your Roosevelt community.

Meet Principal Kumamoto, members of the PTA Board, and our parent groups, ask questions, learn about volunteer opportunities, and find ways to get involved this year. Whether you're new to Roosevelt or have been here for years, everyone is welcome.

Tonight we had the pleasure of welcoming our newest Roosevelt families at TK & Kindergarten and New Family Orientation!

TK & Kinder Students met their teachers, explored their new classrooms, and got a chance to become familiar with campus. Families toured the school, learned more about Roosevelt, and connected with staff, the PTA, and one another.

A warm welcome to all of our new Hornet families. We can't wait to kick off the school year this Thursday, August 13.
