Today, our Special Education Department gathered for our 80s-themed End-of-the-Year Staff Luncheon to celebrate a year filled with dedication, teamwork, and making a difference in the lives of our students. From great food and plenty of laughs to fun games, prizes, and friendly competition, the day was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the incredible people who make our department shine. 🕶️🎵🤘

❤️⚾️ The Special Education Department would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Tiffani Galaviz and Liberty Middle School for organizing and hosting an amazing 6th Annual All-Star Event! ⭐️ Our exceptional middle school students enjoyed a day filled with fun, teamwork, smiles, and unforgettable memories at San Juan Municipal Park. ✨ Thank you to the City of San Juan, San Juan Parks & Recreation Department, San Juan Fire Department, our staff, student mentors from the High School Softball & Baseball teams, families, and all of our sponsors for helping make this special day possible. ❤️ We are grateful for the continued support and opportunities to celebrate our exceptional students! 💙⚾️ ⭐️

✨ Thank you to Mrs. Perez and the Angels of Love Worthy and Empowered Initiative for providing an amazing presentation for our exceptional students at Kennedy Middle School! 💙 Students participated in hands-on activities focused on self-worth, empowerment, and healthy boundaries 🌟 because every individual deserves to be seen, heard, and valued. 🫶🏼 A special thank you to our Kennedy Middle School administrators and teachers for hosting and supporting this meaningful opportunity for our students! ✨

We are beyond proud to officially finalize the entry of our student, Karolina, and teacher, Mr. Matt, as Special Olympics-Texas Team Texas delegates! Karolina will be competing in powerlifting and Mr. Matt will be coaching the Team Texas Powerlifting Team 🎉👏💪🏻

They will proudly represent Texas and PSJA ISD at the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minneapolis, Minnesota this coming June! 🇺🇸

🥇It is also an RGV first to have a school district represented at the national level!! Special thanks to our PTI Principal: Mrs. Hernandez; PSJA ISD Special Education Director: Ms. Quintana, and SOTX Region 1 Director: Ms. Ytszel, for their unwavering support and encouragement! 💙

This incredible achievement reflects their hard work, dedication, perseverance, and school spirit. We know they will represent our community with pride and excellence on the national stage.
