A little Christmas levity at our holiday luncheon !
Surrounded by members of the School Board, our Superintendent was gifted a Noggin Boss hat—and in the spirit of fun, Dr. Elías proudly wore the “World’s Best Boss" hat.
For the first time ever, karaoke took center stage at the transportation luncheon, laughter filled the room, and memories were made.
This is who we are—one team, one family. We are PSJA.

PSJA Transportation’s annual Thanksgiving Luncheon was once again a great success! 🦃💛
As always, the work never stops. It’s challenging to gather all our amazing employees at the same time, since many are out on the road serving our students as they travel to their daily classes and Early College programs across our district and region. Still, throughout the day everyone had a chance to rotate in and enjoy the celebration.
We were treated to talented conjuntos, a delicious meal, and wonderful fellowship. We are truly thankful for our district leaders, our administration, and every dedicated employee who makes up our nationally recognized Transportation Department.
Above all, we thank God for His protection and blessings as we travel over a million miles each school year with our most precious cargo. 🚍✨
Happy Thanksgiving from PSJA Transportation! 🦃🍁

As National Bus Safety Week comes to a close, we take a moment to reflect on why we do what we do.
It’s not for recognition or awards—though we’re proud to be ranked among the Top Fleets in America. We do it for the smiles that greet us each morning, for the laughter that fills our buses, and for the bright futures we help carry safely to school each day.
Every time a student steps aboard, we’re transporting potential—the next governor, astronaut, teacher, movie star, or even the future president of the United States. The possibilities are endless.
But every possibility begins with safety. Our mission is to ensure that every child, our most precious cargo, arrives safely to their destination and to their dreams.
It takes all of us—drivers, staff, families, and the entire community—to make that happen. Thank you, Pharr, San Juan, and Alamo, for partnering with us to keep our children safe and our future bright.

Summer at the Transportation Department.
Just because school’s out doesn’t mean we’re taking it easy. Summer may be downtime for students, but here at the PSJA Transportation Department, it’s full speed ahead with maintenance and upkeep projects to get ready for the new school year.
Every bus in our fleet is receiving the following:
1.) New brakes
2.) New tires
3.) Thorough A/C system cleaning and diagnostics
4.) Complete motor oil and transmission fluid changes
5.) Chassis lubrication
Preventive maintenance ensures our buses are safe, reliable, and running efficiently—ready to go on the first day of school.
We're also taking this time for facility upkeep and beautification. We're creating an environment that supports our team’s productivity and pride in what we do.
A big thank you to our dedicated staff working hard behind the scenes this summer!

A Big Milestone for PSJA Transportation!
Today, our PSJA Transportation Department proudly received a brand-new 30,000 gallon diesel storage and dispensing tank! This major upgrade is the result of forward-thinking leadership and a commitment to long-term planning from Superintendent Dr. Elias and our dedicated School Board.
To put it into perspective—our previous tank held just 10,000 gallons and had been in service since 1994. That tank couldn’t keep up with the demands of our fleet. With this new tank, we now have the capacity to store an entire month’s worth of diesel, ensuring that our buses keep running smoothly even in the event of supply chain issues, hurricanes, or other emergencies.
This fueling station isn't just more capacity—it's an investment in the future:
It can fuel up to 4 school buses at the same time
It Includes a DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) dispenser
It has an integrated automated metrics system to keep inventory, usage data, and records for efficiency and accountability.
And most important the fueling system is equipped with state-of-the-art safety features to protect our team and community.
A big thank you to the Transportation Director and the entire transportation leadership team for their vision, planning, and dedication to making this happen. The future of PSJA Transportation is bright & fueled up for the road ahead!
