Not everyone who supports Project Workforce will teach a class or work alongside a student—and that’s a good thing.

A strong nonprofit needs people with all kinds of experience.

We need Ambassadors who can introduce our mission to new people. We need community and automotive partners who can open doors. We need volunteers willing to contribute their time and expertise. And we need strong leaders interested in helping guide the organization as Board Members.

Sometimes making a difference is simply asking, “What do you need, and where can I be useful?”

If Project Workforce’s mission resonates with you, there may be a role here that fits what you already do best.

There’s a different kind of confidence that comes from knowing how to do something well.

It’s the moment a problem that once felt intimidating starts to make sense. It’s diagnosing an issue, finding the solution, and realizing, “I know how to handle this.”

That’s one of the things we love about skilled trades.

At Project Workforce, automotive training gives students the opportunity to build knowledge they can see and use in the real world. With every new skill comes experience—and with experience comes the confidence to take on the next challenge.

That confidence doesn’t stay in the shop. It carries into interviews, workplaces, relationships, and whatever comes next.

Sometimes learning what you’re capable of starts by simply learning how to do something new.

We talk a lot about “the workforce,” but sometimes that phrase makes it easy to forget what we're really talking about: people.

People learning something they’ve never done before. People trying to become better employees. People looking for stability. People figuring out what they want the next several years of their lives to look like.

At Project Workforce, automotive training gives our students something concrete to build on. They can learn a skill, practice it, improve it, and ultimately take it into the workplace.

That process is about more than filling open positions. It’s about connecting capable people with an industry where their skills can have real value.

That’s workforce development at the human level.

You probably know something that could help someone else.

Maybe it’s 20 years of automotive experience. Maybe it’s knowing how to navigate a job interview, manage a team, build professional relationships, or simply stay steady when things don’t go according to plan.

That experience has value.

Project Workforce is strengthened by people who are willing to share what they know. Volunteers, mentors, Ambassadors, and community supporters all bring different skills to the table—and you don’t need an automotive background to contribute.

If you’ve been looking for a practical way to give some of your experience back to the Orange County community, we’d love to hear from you.

🔧 What makes someone a great automotive technician?

Technical knowledge matters, of course. But ask almost any shop owner what they value in a great employee and you’ll hear about qualities that have nothing to do with a wrench.

Reliability. Communication. Problem-solving. A willingness to learn. Taking pride in doing the job right.

That’s why Project Workforce combines automotive technical training with personal development. We’re not simply helping people learn how to work on vehicles. We’re helping prepare them to walk into a workplace ready to contribute, grow, and build a career.

Because knowing how to do the job is important. Knowing how to be someone others want on their team matters, too.

Success isn't measured by a single accomplishment. It's built through consistency, resilience, and the willingness to keep moving forward.

At Project Workforce, we're helping students develop the technical knowledge and professional skills they'll carry with them throughout their careers. But we're also helping build confidence, responsibility, and a sense of purpose that extends well beyond the workplace.

That's the kind of investment that creates lasting impact—not just for individuals, but for families, employers, and the community as a whole.

Thank you to everyone who believes in this mission and helps make it possible.

Sometimes the biggest turning point isn't a major event.

It's one opportunity.
One person who believes in you.
One skill that opens a new door.
At Project Workforce, we see those moments happen every day.

When someone gains the confidence to pursue a career, earns the respect that comes with mastering a trade, and begins building a more stable future, the impact reaches far beyond the individual.

Opportunity has a way of creating momentum.
We're proud to be part of that journey.

Every time you drive your car, there's a good chance you're benefiting from the work of a highly skilled technician.

The automotive industry relies on professionals who understand complex systems, solve problems, and take pride in their work. As vehicles continue to evolve, the need for trained technicians continues to grow.

Project Workforce is helping prepare the next generation by providing hands-on training and the life skills needed to succeed in today's workforce.

Skilled trades aren't just jobs—they're careers that keep our communities moving.

Some of the most important lessons aren't found in a textbook.

They're passed down from someone who's been there before—someone willing to take a few extra minutes to explain, encourage, and help another person grow.

That's the kind of environment we're building at Project Workforce.

Our instructors and mentors don't just teach automotive repair. They share the experience, professionalism, and confidence that help prepare students for successful careers.

A little guidance today can create opportunities that last for years to come.

The Right Environment Changes Everything

Talent is important.

So are determination and hard work.

But sometimes, what makes the biggest difference is simply being in an environment where people believe in your potential and expect you to succeed.

That's what Project Workforce strives to create every day.

A place where students can develop technical skills, build confidence, and prepare for careers that offer long-term opportunity.

When people have the right support and the right expectations, incredible things can happen.
