😎 After the Fifth Grade vs. Staff game, our L.U.C.H.A. Leaders enjoyed Field Day, where teachers hosted different outdoor games for our community to celebrate together.

☄️ While the fifth graders may not have come out victorious, our annual Fifth Grade vs. Staff game of dodgeball was loads of fun!

🎖 Congratulations to all the families who met their 30, 60, and 100 volunteer hour goals! Even if you were not able to meet your goal this year, every single minute you spend supporting your child's education is important. To every family past and present, thank you so much for the time you put into making our school as special as it is.

🧠 Our last Core Value Assembly took place yesterday to honor our L.U.C.H.A. Leaders of the Month for the Core Value of Critical Thinking. Congratulations to these incredible problem solvers!

Congratulations Mr. Almerido for being Alum Rock’s 2026 Teacher of the Year! Tonight he was recognized by the board of trustees and given an opportunity to give his Oscar’s Speech! We are so proud of Mr. Almerido, his hard work and how he represents our LUCHA community!

🎂🏆 Congratulations to last week's Cake Auction winners! These three students contributed the cakes that received the most votes in the auction's three categories: L.U.C.H.A. (Kenia), Cartoons and Manga (Adelai Mae), and Candy (Julianna).

🌷💐 Happy Mother's Day! Last Friday, we gifted cookies and coffee to all mothers who passed by the front of the school.

🎉Congratulations to Jonathan Almerido who was named Alum Rock Union School District’s 2026 Teacher of the Year! 🍎✨

This is the first time a LUCHA teacher has ever won the district honors and we can’t think of a more deserving winner!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Mr. Almerido and grateful for the passion and dedication he brings to LUCHA everyday! 💙🤍

🎂 Yesterday, we held our first in-person Cake Auction since 2019, and it went great! Many, many thanks to Mr. Manny for returning to serve as our auctioneer!
