We are honored to announce the new principal of Quimby Oak Middle School, Ms. Ginger George. Not new to Quimby, Ms. George has been a Lobo for the last three years as an Assistant Principal. She is dedicated to the staff, students and families of the Quimby community and looks forward to the work in the months and years ahead!

Announcement: New Quimby Oak Middle School Principal
SAN JOSE, CA – The Evergreen School District Board of Trustees has appointed Ms. Virginia “Ginger” George to the position of Principal of Quimby Oak Middle School at a Special Board Meeting that was held tonight, July 15, 2020.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, Leila Welch, Board President, stated “Evergreen School District is excited and proud to appoint Ms. Ginger George as Quimby Oak Middle School’s Principal. Ms. George has the experience and the desire to lead this wonderful middle school. We look forward to her leadership!”
Dr. Emy Flores, Superintendent stated, “We are thrilled to have Ms. George to be the new Principal of Quimby Oak Middle School. I am confident that Ms. George will lead to provide the continuity of a positive school culture, where all of our students will continue to grow and thrive. Please join me in congratulating Ms. George! I am confident that her leadership at Quimby Oak Middle School will continue to provide a positive school culture, where all of our students will continue to grow and thrive.”
Ms. George began her career in Evergreen in 2005 as a student teacher at Carolyn Clark Elementary. She began teaching at Montgomery Elementary in 2006 and joined the reinvention team at Katherine Smith Elementary in 2012. Long time certified teacher with the New Tech Network and leadership team member, Ms. George served as a District Instructional Common Core Coach at O.B. Whaley Elementary before joining Evergreen's administration team. Known for her creative drive, knowledge and collaborative spirit, Ms. George served as an Assistant Principal and Coach at Quimby Oak before transitioning to Site Director of Lobo School of Innovation.
Ms. George stated “Having the privilege to be the new leader of Quimby Oak Middle School, a community with such a rich history, is truly an honor. Quimby Oak is home for me and I look forward to seeing it continue to thrive while we work together in the months and years ahead.”.
