✨ That’s a wrap on another incredible school year at Alpha Public Schools! ✨🎓
From the first day of school to the final bell, our students have grown in knowledge, confidence, leadership, and character. We are so proud of all they have accomplished this year—both inside and outside the classroom.
Thank you to our amazing teachers, staff, families, and community for supporting our students every step of the way. Your encouragement and dedication help make Alpha such a special place to learn and grow.
To our students: keep dreaming big, stay curious, and enjoy a well-deserved summer break!

Big things are happening in our community!
We are thrilled to share that a group of our talented 6th-grade students has partnered with the local nonprofit Our City to design a mural for a utility box near Eastridge. Their creative design has been submitted to the San José Arts Commission, and if approved, these students will have the opportunity to bring their vision to life during a Community Paint Day this summer!
This project is a wonderful example of students using their creativity, leadership, and civic engagement to make a positive impact on our neighborhood.
The proposal will be presented tomorrow, Tuesday, June 2, at 5:30 PM via Zoom, and we'd love to see our school community show their support!

Last Tuesday, we took a couple of Cindy Avitia High School students to participate in the 32nd Annual Latina Day conference in Sacramento, organized by Hispanics Organized for Political Equality (HOPE). This statewide gathering was a significant educational opportunity focused on civic engagement, leadership development, and advocacy. We also had the privilege of having Trustee Corina Herrera ride with us in the same van. Trustee Herrera was always asking the girls questions and keeping them engaged throughout the day!

Decision Day at Cindy Avitia High School is one of our favorite traditions — a day dedicated to celebrating the incredible journeys of our seniors as they take their next steps beyond high school. 🎓
Whether they’re heading to college, trade school, military service, or entering the workforce, each student’s path is honored and recognized by our entire school community. From receiving their pennants to being cheered on by staff, it is a reminder that every future is worth celebrating.
We are so proud of the Class of 2026 and all they have accomplished. Your hard work, resilience, and dreams have brought you here — and this is only the beginning
