UPA is incredibly proud to celebrate Junior, Amrit Rana, for earning 1st Place while performing at Carnegie Hall. 🥇
Amrit had a few words to share about this amazing achievement:
"Performing at Carnegie Hall in New York City and being awarded 1st place was an experience that felt absolutely surreal. While the stage represents one of the highest levels of musical recognition, my pride in performing there came not only from that, but from the opportunity to preserve, honor, and share the tradition of Sikh Heritage Music Instruments. As I played each note on my heritage string instrument, Taus, I felt a deep sense of responsibility and determination to share this beautiful art of music. One that not only holds a powerful place in our world, but also creates a timeless connection between generations and shared human experience. Music is a bridge between the past and present. It carries culture across time and connects people in ways words cannot."
UPA is proud to be a place where we can support our students as they grow, achieve, and shine. 🧡
