A heartfelt milestone for Kalaawishkar Dance School

KalaAwishkar — celebrating 25 years of dance, devotion, and dedication!

On the occasion of the Silver Jubilee celebration of my dance school, KalaAwishkar, I found myself reflecting on what theme would best represent this milestone.

Soon, the thought of devotion came to my mind. Without faith and devotion, the world would not function in the same way. I then wondered how this profound idea could be portrayed through dance?

Almost instantly, I was reminded of the many inspiring stories and poems of great devotees who expressed their unwavering faith in divine energies.

And that is how the theme for our production was born — “Shraddha” (Faith) — which, quite beautifully, also happens to be my own name! 😇 given by my dad right before his death!

Through this production, my students and I will present inspiring stories of devotion through the language of Bharatanatyam.

Guru Smt Shraddha Joglekar is proud to present Arangetram of her talented disciple Syna Sharma on Saturday, Nov'1.

This journey is not easy. Lord Natraja throws a lot of challenges in front of us dancers, Guru, plus the family of the dancer, go through severe penance to reach up to this level. This is not a mere event or presenting bunch of dances. It is a ritual that we are offering through dance & music to the divine.

This is a proud 👏 moment for Kalaawishkar Dance School!
