Who remembers the KOME party bus that took winners to CAL JAM II? Jona (pictured) was one of the host DJs. She and two listeners were the only ones who stayed wide awake the entire trip!

March 18, 1978 - California Jam II was a Music Festival held in Ontario, California, at the Ontario Motor Speedway. 300,000 to 350,000 attended.

Performers: Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Foreigner, Rubicon, Heart, Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush, Santana, Dave Mason, Bob Welch (with Stevie Nicks and Mick Fleetwood) and Jean-Michel Jarre. The event was recorded and released as a live album, and it was notable for featuring the largest live sound system at the time.
Tickets: $12.50 in advance; $17.00 at the gate.
