Our kindergarteners have been busy this week with their musical performance of the "Tale of the Gingerbread Man." They learned all the songs, how to move on stage and stage presence. Bravo to our young performers! 👏👏👏

Our first and second graders took a field trip to Christmas in the Park to check out their decorated tree and to admire the holiday decor. If you visit, look for our tree, 370. They also experienced an IMAX movie and rode the light rail there.

Don't forget tomorrow is our next spirit day- Holiday Spirit! Wear your most festive holiday gear or your favorite holiday ugly sweater to show your school spirit.

Wishing our Oak Ridge community a wonderful Thanksgiving. We are so thankful for our teachers, staff, students, and families!
Our Kindergarteners in Mrs. Dolan's class paraded around the school with their Thanksgiving "floats." Great job spreading the Thanksgiving cheer! 🦃

Our sixth graders had a blast spending the week at YMCA's Camp Campbell! Through this outdoor science program, students learned about our local redwood forest, animals and plants that inhabit the area, and companionship. We know that MANY memories were made through this experience. A BIG thank you to all the sixth grade families for fundraising for this amazing opportunity as well as our teachers and staff that spent 4 days around the clock with our students- Mrs. Chin, Ms. Shepard and Ms. Wendy.

Don't forget that tonight is our next dining fundraiser. We'll have Vero's Little Kitchen's taco truck parked outside of our staff parking lot serving up tacos, burritos, quesadillas and more! They'll be here from 4:30-7 PM. A portion of the proceeds will go back to Oak Ridge. Skip the cooking and come on out!

Happy Veterans Day! Oak Ridge students showed their appreciation for our veterans by making cards, red poppies and a banner. All of these acts of kindness were shared with the veterans at the VA Community Living Center in Livermore. Thank you to Mrs. Koutsos and Ms. Luna's class for the cards and coloring sheets, and thank you to our Saturday Academy teachers and students for making the poppies and banner. And a BIG thank you to Ms. Wendy for dropping these off for us!
