For 65 years, MHT has been a beacon of hope and excellence for the East San Jose community of San Jose, CA. We are proud to serve 200 Transitional Kindergarten thru 8th grade students as a part of the Diocese of San Jose and the Ignatian Elementary Schools Network of the Society of Jesus. Founded in 1955 by the Sisters of Notre Dame, we have continued their legacy of success in the formation of y

oung men and women who live by the phrase, “There must be nothing little about us; we must have hearts of apostles” (Saint Julie Billiart, founder of the Sisters of Notre Dame). Since our founding, we have implemented an authentic and rigorous Catholic formation. Through this formation, we equip students not only with academic prowess, but also the skills necessary to challenge the status quo and “set the world on fire” (St. To do this, we push our students to think as disciples and see their role in this world not as obtainers of power, but as people who walk with and serve the “least among us” (Mt. 25:40). The ultimate goal of our education is to build character and critical intellectual habits that allow our students to build God’s beloved community.

Today was Teach Day to review expectations of being Responsible, Respectful, Reflective and Safe at school. We also reviewed proper school uniform and our teachers were all in to model the look.

Last night, our MHT community came together for our Welcome Back Spaghetti Dinner! It was a beautiful evening filled with delicious food, laughter, fellowship, and the joy of being together again.
We were especially excited to welcome our new families and begin another school year as one MHT family. Here’s to a year filled with faith, friendship, growth, and many memories together! ✨

Today, our MHT team took time to pause, reflect, and renew our hearts as we prepare to welcome a new school year. ❤️✨
We were blessed to attend a retreat at St. Joseph Monastery alongside colleagues from three other Catholic schools from the Diocese of San Jose, coming together in faith, fellowship, and reflection. We return refreshed, inspired, and ready to serve our students and families with renewed hearts and a shared commitment to our MHT community. 🙏🏼💙
