What are you carrying into this school year?

During the last weeks of summer, our LIFE Team seniors gathered to take on the annual LIFE Team Pilgrimage Hike. Each student begins with a rock in hand as a symbol of something they are carrying with them into this year, or perhaps something they hope to leave behind.

The hike offers students a chance to slow down and simply be together before the year gets underway. Thank you to our seniors for showing up with openness and intention, and to our Campus Ministry team for giving the Class of 2027 such a meaningful way to begin their final year as Monarchs. Hereā€™s to the journey ahead. šŸŖØšŸ’›

Campus remained alive with students, athletes, performers, and volunteers making the most of their summer. Whether theyā€™re preparing for the school year ahead, discovering a new passion, or sharpening their skills, it was incredible to see our Monarch community expanding, learning, and playing together.

Today, Archbishop Mitty High School honors Juneteenth, commemorating the end of slavery in the United States and celebrating the contributions and achievements of African Americans throughout our nation's history.

As a community rooted in the belief that every person is created in the image and likeness of God, we pause to reflect on the ongoing work of creating a society where the dignity of every person is recognized and upheld. May we continue to learn from the past, engage with compassion in the present, and work together toward a more just future.
