Over the past year, corpsmembers have been hard at work helping revitalize Guadalupe River Park alongside many community partners. 🀝 From clearing overgrown brush, vegetation management, soil restoration, and sheet mulching to support a healthier habitat, corpsmembers have played an important role in bringing the park back to life. πŸ’š

This ongoing effort marks Phase One of a larger vision to restore and continue improving Guadalupe River Park for the community, and we're just getting started. Hope to see you out there! πŸ₯³

Last week, we hosted our Spring Futures Fair! 🌼 πŸŽ‰ Corpsmembers spent the day exploring career pathways, community resources, and educational opportunities while connecting with organizations across the community. 🀝

Events like these help open doors, build connections, and introduce corpsmembers to potential pathways for their future. ✨

Thank you to all the organizations that took the time to connect, share resources and opportunities, and inspire corpsmembers. πŸ’š Can't wait for the next one! πŸ’Ό

This winter, we worked with Grassroots Ecology and other volunteers to plant 400 native habitat plants at their Alviso site (which is home to a sensitive population of burrowing owls).πŸ¦‰

Not only does it look great, but the plants help create a habitat for the burrowing owls' prey, giving these special birds a better chance to survive here in the bay. πŸ’š
