A viral video out of China shows 2 children who are devastated to learn that the stepfather plans to slaughter and eat the stray dog they rescued. The children bravely take the dog and run. They almost get caught, but the mother steps in and defends them.

More than 10 million dogs and 4 million cats are captured and slaughtered by the illegal meat trade in China every year. The majority of these animals are strays.

By decreasing stray animal populations through humane spay and neuter initiatives, Duo Duo Project is significantly reducing the supply of innocent victims to the dog and cat meat trade.

We are also significantly reducing the demand for dog and cat meat through culturally conscious education programs and community outreach efforts.
