This is where it all begins... a lifetime love of learning. Sunshine, sea air, and science! ☀️🌊
Our 6th graders hiked up Hill 88 in the Marine Headlands with and took some incredible ocean views after a big climb. Along the way they showed perseverance, encouraged one another, and pushed through the challenge to reach the top. Days like this remind us that some of the best learning happens outside the classroom.🌿⛰️

🌊🙏 Ride the Waves 🙏🌊
Our 7th graders spent three nights at the beach for their annual retreat, embracing this year’s theme: Ride the Waves. This special retreat is planned and led entirely by our own staff, making it a truly unique tradition of our school community.
Through teamwork challenges, shared meals, reflection, and plenty of shore laughs, students built stronger bonds with one another while also taking time for self-discovery and growth in faith. Like the waves themselves, the experience reminded students that life brings ups and downs, but we are stronger when we support one another and trust in God’s guidance.
Three days of sand, salt air, and meaningful moments helped this class grow closer as a community and more confident in their ability to ride whatever waves come their way. 🌊✨

So proud of our very talented 5th grader, Alexis Foertsch! 🧡🖤
🎨 This year’s Bishop Christmas Card Contest asked our school and catechetical students across the diocese in 2nd to 5th grades to reflect on the theme: “The Birth of Jesus brings Hope to the World.” Congratulations to our winners:
🥇 1st Place: Immaculée Karunanayake (5th grade at Simon Parish School, Los Altos, Preschool-8)
🥈2nd Place: Eva Shannon (5th grade at Saint Simon Parish School, Los Altos, Preschool-8 )
🥉3rd Place: Alexis Foertsch (5th grade at Saint Martin of Tours School)
We are so proud of these young artists for their inspiring depictions of faith and hope. Thank you to all the students who participated—we were blessed to receive hundreds of beautiful entries from our parishes and schools that reflected the hope that Christ brings to us all.

That feeling when it’s finally your turn to lead the Chicken Parade! 🧡✨🖤
The Bengal Classic magic is still real after all these years, and our Class of 2026 brought all the spirit for our Girls’ Volleyball Bengal Classic! 🏐🐅
From tutus to feather boas to Bill’s breakfast and an epic staff vs. student game (where the score rarely moved from 6-7 or 67-76 or some other iteration of those numbers…weird), it was a great day to be a Bengal! 🫶🎉
And it didn’t stop with the rally! The energy continued all weekend as our community packed the gym to support our girls! We can’t wait to do it all again for our Class of 2026 boys this winter! We hope to see you all there!🏀

We believe school is a messy place, but the magic comes from navigating the mess, not avoiding it. 🧡🖤
Our core values and universal respect for each other allow our community to do the hard work we are called to do as Catholics and as humans: to love each other fully, even when (and especially when) it’s not easy. 🙏🐾
Our weekly principal’s message hit all the right notes this week. Thank you, Mr. Cortese, for all you do! We promise it’s worth the read! ➡️💯

We’ve been keeping a bit of a secret the past few months, but now the dog’s out of the bag! 🧡🐾🖤
Welcome Milo ()! Our entire community is so happy to have fluffy snuggles and waggy tails back in our halls. 🐶🫶
We’ll never forget Archie, and we’re already smitten over Milo! He’s hard at work supporting all our students (and staff!). 🥰

Nothing but smiles on day ✌️thanks to our incredible faculty and staff! 🥰🤗
Smiles come naturally when children feel known, seen, and loved. That doesn’t happen by chance. We prioritize intentionally building relationships daily, but especially during the first days of school, because we know that relationships are the key to learning. 🔑📚
At StM, every child matters, every day. 🧡🖤

We’re so much better together, and nothing reminds us of that like the first day of school! 🎉🏫🫶
From TK-8th grade and every room (and outdoor space) in between, the positive vibes were palpable! Our Bengals (+ Milo ) had THE BEST first day! 🧡🐾🖤

“We didn’t realize we were making memories. We just knew we were having fun!” 🧡🎓🖤
You might not have realized it, Class of 2025, but the memories you made will be with you (and us!) for always! We are so very proud of you and can’t wait to hear about all the memories and fun you have in high school and beyond! We can’t wait for you to come back and tell us all about them! Congratulations and remember, once a Bengal, always a Bengal! 🫶🐾

White smoke, new Pope! 🙏
Our students were so excited for this historical event, they voluntarily missed recess! God bless Pope Leo XIV! We can’t wait to see where you lead us! ✝️🐑🕊️

St. Martin of Tours Catholic School nurtures and inspires every student to believe and live our faith, achieve their full potential, and roar as they serve in our community and beyond.
In partnership with parents, staff, and parishioners, St. Martin of Tours School provides and supports our students’ education in an environment centered around our Catholic values and beliefs in order to foster a lifelong love of learning.
We believe by living our Catholic faith students are encouraged to have a personal relationship with God, embrace the Gospel message, and celebrate their unique gifts.
We achieve by developing our students’ abilities and challenging them to problem solve, think analytically, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively.
We roar by sending forth students who take responsibility for their actions, are capable of leading others, serve those in need, and stand up for what is right.
St. Martin of Tours School honors tradition and embraces innovation to provide students a strong Catholic foundation for a bright future, while challenging each student to reach their full spiritual, academic, and personal potential.
