Dear Almaden Elementary Families,
Welcome to a new school year! Whether you are returning to Almaden Elementary or joining us for the first time, I am delighted to welcome you to our school community.
My name is Lisa Montes, and I am excited to begin my 14th year as the proud principal of Almaden Elementary. It is truly an honor to be part of such an incredible school. We have the very best teachers, students, and families, and I look forward to another amazing year of partnering together to provide the best possible learning experience for every child.
My journey in education began as an elementary classroom teacher, where I spent 12 years teaching students in grades 3–5. I then served for four years at the district office supporting new teachers, followed by roles as a site instructional coach and assistant principal at Allen at Steinbeck and Willow Glen Elementary Schools. In 2013, I was honored to become the principal of Almaden Elementary, and it has been a privilege to serve this wonderful community ever since.
Whether you're a returning family or new to Almaden, I encourage you to get involved, ask questions, and take advantage of the many opportunities to connect with our school community. We value the strong partnership between home and school and know that working together is one of the greatest factors in our students' success.
