Notre Dame High School made an annual pilgrimage, with nearly 800 people as a Catholic and multifaith community, to the Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph for Mass of Commissioning. This was the first liturgy of the academic year just a few blocks from campus in the heart of Downtown San José.

Our liturgy theme was “You are the Light of the World” which is connected to the ASB student leadership theme: Illuminate. Peer Ministry Leadership Team (PMLT) and campus ministry student leaders led a very meaningful Mass to bless our new school year. Thank you to the Diocese of San Jose, Msgr. Francis Cilia, and Deacon Steve Herrera for leading us in thoughtful prayer. We also thank board members and Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, East-West Province for joining us! 🌻

Tickets for Notre Dame High School's 175th Anniversary Gala are now on sale! Join us on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 5:30 – 10 p.m. as we celebrate our legacy and light the way for the future. This special evening will feature dinner, drinks, and live music. We will also raise our paddles for our students, programs, mission, and tuition assistance.

In a tribute to celebrating our annual Women of Impact, we honor Hall of Fame Coach Tara VanDerveer, who led Stanford’s women’s basketball team to three national championships and the U.S. Women’s Team to Olympic gold. We are delighted to honor her and hear inspiring words about her professional and prestigious leadership experience.

It was a gorgeous time in the sunshine for the annual Club Fair! Student officers from 47 clubs and interest groups filled Pardini Park with exhibits and invitations for sign-ups to be a part of something special. Notre Dame offers opportunities to meet each week and share interests ranging from community service, unique hobbies, cultural clubs, and so much more. This was also the inaugural start for a few new groups offered this year.

In the voice of our Admissions Department, we are sooooooooo back! Students poured onto campus for the official first day of school today. It’s been a day filled with hugs, laughter, brand new connections, and heartfelt reunion. We thank our ASB student officers for their leadership during the First Day Assembly and introducing our new theme for the academic year ⭐️Illuminate⭐️ … Each of us were invited to consider the ways in which we want to illuminate our community, ourselves, and each other.

The hallways and classrooms were bustling today with Class of 2030 students for Freshman Orientation! Students spent the morning making friends, learning where their lockers are, navigating a simulation of their class rotations, and experiencing a neighborhood walk to further reacquaint themselves with campus. ND’s signature brunch included a variety of burritos and, of course... karaoke in Pardini Park! A huge thank you to our Freshman Link students and ambassadors for ensuring everyone was greeted with a smile.
