We’re excited to once again participate in Giving Tuesday — the global day of generosity that takes place each year on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving.

This year, Giving Tuesday falls on December 2, 2025. Following the spending-focused days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday offers an opportunity to give back and make a difference.

To help you spread the word, we’ve prepared customized tools you can use on your social media platforms in the days leading up to and during Giving Tuesday.

Meet Jocelyn Rodriguez, our awesome Assistant Principal at Esperanza! A first-generation college grad and former 6th grade ELA teacher, Jocelyn has been with ACE for 5 years and is all about supporting students and helping them grow. 💚

Outside of school, she loves hanging out with her dog Lex and baking sourdough bread and lemon bars—yum! 🍋🐾

We’re lucky to have her leading with heart and dedication every day.

Dear Parents,
Are you looking for a part-time job that is flexible and allows you to make a positive impact on our community? We are still hiring Student Recruiters, and we would love to give our parents the first opportunity to apply!

Position: Student Recruiter (Temporary, Part-Time)
Location: Various ACE Charter Schools
Start Date: January 2025
End Date: August 15, 2025
Pay: Starting at $19.00/hour

Responsibilities:
Promote ACE Charter Schools to families in East San Jose.
Participate in recruitment activities such as making phone calls, door-knocking, attending events, and more.
Support families with school application and enrollment forms.
Coordinate and provide school tours for prospective families.
Communicate school events and facilitate home visits.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish and/or Vietnamese required.
Outgoing personality with strong customer service skills.
Ability to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends if needed.
Must pass a background check and tuberculosis screening.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
