How do I get more acting opportunities? I get asked this question all the time, and here is my hand dandy checklist for you!

1. Get an agent
2. Get a manager
3. Update your Actors Access profile
4. Update your Casting Networks profile
5. Think about signing up for more profiles: Backstage, Cast It, Casting Frontier, IMDB Pro, etc.
6. Get new headshots
7. Create or update your reel
8. Make a self-tape reel
9. Record yourself doing scenes in which you have shined!
10. Write a three page/3 minute script for yourself and an actor friend
11. Take casting director workshops
12. Get into acting class (check out my weekly class!)
13. Get into improv class
14. Work on your self-love and abundance mentality
15. Work with an acting coach
16. Go to networking events
17. Offer to help your actor friends with their projects (Giving is one of the Spiritual Secrets of Success)

I can tell you right now I have only done about half of these myself. But, my next event will help you with #11!

On Saturday Aug 29, casting director M'saada Nia will be coming up from LA to work with us on our acting technique, and giving us an insider look into the industry.

Scenes will be assigned in advance. M'saada will also talk about "type" and give us some insight on creating our own content. All levels are welcome. Limited to 16 students.

It's the last class of 2025 - time for food, drinks and general merriment!

We will play some games (including JARS), do a releasing ritual, have a mock audition/co-star challenge on camera and end with a lovely winter self-love exercise (no regular scene work this week). There *may* be some gift bags involved!

I am donating the proceeds from your class purchases to the American Red Cross. They were the first on the scene after my catastrophic house fire in May (after the fire department!) and I would like to give something back.

If you want to bring food or drink, you are welcome to contribute! I can't wait to celebrate with you all!
