CET’s Immigration and Citizenship Program (ICP) team was active at this year’s Santa Clara County Citizenship Day, which took place today. CET’s ICP staff are part of the Santa Clara County Citizenship Collaborative that organizes Project New Citizen to address the needs of low-income immigrants by providing information, referral, and direct citizenship application services. Assistance was provided in 14 languages to hundreds of lawful permanent residents as they take the important step of applying for U.S. citizenship.
Joining talents with CET were staff from Asian Law Alliance, Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County, PARS Equality Center, The Office of Immigrant Relations and many more partners and volunteers.

CET San Jose's Electrician program is currently hosting a free workshop on conduit bending techniques. The workshop is being led by CET teachers and professionals from MH Electrical Services and Tarin Electrical & Lighting. You can drop in throughout the event. The workshop runs until 1 p.m. today at CET San Jose, 701 Vine Street. There's plenty of free parking.

CET was honored to host Santa Clara County Supervisor Betty Duong’s State of the District event on the CET San Jose campus this evening. Guests heard updates from the Supervisor on the community’s progress, key accomplishments from the past year and priorities for the coming year. In addition to the District 2 updates, attendees were entertained with dance and music performances by local artists.
