We shared a beautiful evening as a community at last night’s school board meeting for the Oak Grove School District.

I’m grateful to be entrusted as a collaborative partner in the decision-making process that operates to serve our students, families, educators, and community at-large.

Taking the oath to serve as a school board member bears the responsibility of voting on policies that directly impact the trajectory of a child’s life, making decisions that impact the livelihood of our valued educators, as well as being a fiduciary for hardworking tax payer dollars.

This was not my plan, but it was God’s plan all along. It is with an acute awareness of the duties, humility, and a heart to serve that I step into the position.

This is possible because of the hard sacrifices and unconditional love from my parents and family, the support and encouragement of my community, and the grace of God 🙏🏽🥰🙌🏽.
