Afshin hopes to work for the city or county and make a difference in San JosΓ©. Through the ChAD program, he says SJSU has given him the tools to begin that journey, introduced him to new ways of critical thinking, and provided a safe space to express his thoughts and ideas.

Meet Destiny Walker, MA Child and Adolescent Development ’26 πŸ’™πŸ’›

During her time in the program, Destiny has explored research topics including attachment styles, emotion regulation, and the longitudinal effects of family mealtimes. She has also developed and presented family workshops in her community while building connections with other professionals in the field.

This is an exciting and fast-paced event where graduate students present their research in 3 minutes and with one slide to a non-specialist audience.
