Today, we proudly celebrated our OB Whaley Honor Roll students at a special event sponsored by our amazing PTA! It was a full house, with families and loved ones joining us to recognize the hard work, dedication, and academic achievement of students who earned Honor Roll all year long.

We are incredibly proud of our students for their commitment to excellence and perseverance throughout the school year. Thank you to our parents for your continued support and partnership, and a special thank you to our PTA for helping make this celebration so memorable.

What a wonderful day at OB Whaley Visual and Performing Arts Academy’s Dance Showcase!

Our students were thrilled to take the stage and share their talents with family and friends. Their excitement, confidence, and joy shined through every performance, making it a truly memorable event.

A special thank you to Evergreen District’s Director of Educational Services, Kim Kianidehkian, for taking the time to attend and support our talented performers. Your presence meant so much to our students and school community.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our incredible Artistic Director and Dance Teacher, Mrs. Lesley Ruzon, for her dedication, passion, and hard work. Through her guidance, our students had the opportunity to learn and perform a variety of dance genres from around the world, celebrating creativity, culture, and the performing arts.

What an incredible evening at O.B. Whaley Elementary School’s Multicultural Fashion Show & Dance Showcase! 🌎✨

With 60 participants representing regions from all over the world, our students proudly shared their cultures through beautiful traditional outfits, music, and dances unique to their heritage. It was a wonderful celebration of diversity, learning, and community, reminding us how much we can learn from one another when we come together with pride and respect for our different backgrounds.

A special thank you to Evergreen School District’s Board of Trustee, Patti Andrade, and Director of Ed Services, Ashley Morefield, for attending and supporting this meaningful event.

And a huge thank you to Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Gathoo for coordinating such a memorable and successful showcase for our school community! ❤️👏

Thank you to Mr. Nick Woodard, of “Learnin’ the Ropes” for our exciting and engaging school assembly teaching life skills and positive character qualities to our students. We were truly inspired by your story and in awe of your jump roping skills!

Thank you to our dance teacher, Mrs Ruzon, for bringing in Abhinaya Dance Company of San Jose to perform for our students today! Students learned so much about the art and meaning behind the dances that were beautifully performed for us. Students even had the opportunity to perform alongside the talented dancers! Thank You, Abhinaya Dance Company of San Jose for taking the time to inspire our VAPA students!
