Are planks on your list of things to improve at in 2023? They’re such a great move for your whole body as well as being SO easy to modify and progress!
A modified plank on a BOSU is one of my absolute favorites for people who may not feel comfortable or able to get on the ground fully. It challenges your core, hip flexors, and shoulders more, while supporting your elbows and joints more gently than on say, that metal bench 😬 See—she’s even smiling doing them! Ha!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🎊 I found this old hand lettered sign I made a few years back when I was unpacking my office and decided it’s a great mantra for this new year! It’s so easy to focus on all the outside noise, but everything you need is within you. What’s one of your mantras for 2023?

What was the most interesting thing you made for Thanksgiving this year? I was so happy to be able to find a great amount of fresh fruit in my hometown for this hilarious addition! 😂

“Fall down seven times, get up eight.” (though my sister, Magnum PI, and I all swear it’s get up seven…cause why would you start down? 😜)
Ever find one of those activities you want to love but are struggling at? For me, it’s snowboarding. I’ve heard it’s fun! Relaxing! A high! But I spent most of my time practicing this week looking at the view in the last photo (gorgeous, but I was meaning to be upright, not making awkward snow angels 🤪).
One of my goals this year is to better learn what to persevere at, and what to just say “hey, it’s not for me, and that’s okay.”
How about you? Anything you’re wondering which of those routes to take?

When’s the last time you treated yourself to fresh flowers? Did you know they can improve your cognitive function, creative skills, and overall happiness levels?
I’m currently in looooove with adding fresh eucalyptus when I can find it to add to the aroma! What’s your favorite flower?

I can’t believe it’s already St. Pat’s this week!!! Need some fun balanced green food inspo? Gotcha covered, from simple salads to pasta to party trays to breakfast. Mmmm…as much as I hate veggies, apparently I do end up using them a lot! Whew!
-Simple green beans over fried chicken and rice
-Baby bok choy with lemon (I’m obsessed. For real.)
- with scrambled eggs
-Mediterranean endive boats
-Homemade pesto pasta 🤤
-pear, fig jam and arugula pizza (admittedly this one not made by me, but I make it at home plenty and add goat cheese. Excuse me while I drool.)
-Seasoned tuna steak on a bed of buttery mashed cauliflower and lemon arugula
-Oops! They’re about to go bad! Veggie sheet bake of bok choy and broccoli with EVOO and garlic
-Edamame snack with some salt and chili powder
-Pork stuffed cucumber soup (thanks )

Life’s been a bit extra 🤪😭 lately, so I’m behind on posting, even celebrating things like !
Even in the madness there is peace, and I’m sending it all of your ways. I’m grateful to all the amazing women who have paved the path we are able to walk today, and blessed to be walking this path with incredible women today. I’m hard on myself, but think little Laura would be pretty all right with who L is today, and I hope you give yourself the same grace now and always. You deserve it, fierce lady. 💜
