This type of care entails active listening, facilitating clarity about the clients’ belief system about childbirth in general, and about their wishes and goals for their birth, as well as an inquiry and guidance about the actions they take towards achieving their desired experience. Birth Coaches can align their clients’ beliefs, goals, and actions, and elicit the accountability of birth clients to their process. It also involves helping your clients to distinguish truth from myths and fears from reality about childbirth and empowering them to be at choice.

Birth Workers,

If you're working with 2 individuals, you're working with group dynamics!

Yes, a couple is a group.

Your job isn't to get them to agree. Your job is to help them discover where they agree, where they don't, and what they want to do about those differences.

Being “on the same page” doesn't mean they have to want the same thing. It means they understand each other's perspectives and have consciously decided how they want to move forward together.

☑️ One wants an unmedicated birth; the other is already thinking, “If you’re suffering, I want you to get an epidural.”

☑️ One wants the partner to be deeply involved; the other expects the doula to be the primary support person.

☑️ One wants the partner to speak up to the medical team; the other wants to be the only person communicating with providers.

☑️ One sees the doula as someone who will “tell us what to do”; the other expects the doula to help them make their own decisions.

☑️ One imagines a calm, quiet birth with minimal people in the room; the other wants their mother, siblings, and friends there.

They may not have talked about their shared postpartum plan.

☑️One is excited about breastfeeding; the other assumes they’ll use formula or combination feeding. One partner is anxious and wants lots of information; the other gets more anxious when they hear too much.

Day 10 of the Thriving Birth Worker Blueprint 🎉

We made it to the final day—and today, I introduced something that becomes increasingly valuable as your practice grows:

The Success Tracker

When your practice is thriving, and you have multiple clients moving through different stages, conversations, commitments, and challenges...

You need a system!
The Success Tracker gives you and your client a shared record of:
✨ Insights
✨ Decisions
✨ Options
✨ Commitments
✨ Wins
✨ Next Focus

It’s a record you create WITH them.
Your client gets to edit it, add their insights, clarify your understanding, and document their own wins.

That makes the tracker more than an organizational tool.
It becomes another way of reinforcing agency, autonomy, and ownership.

And when your practice is thriving, you’ll be grateful to have a system that allows you to serve more clients without having to carry every detail of every client in your head.

That’s what sustainable birth work can look like. ❤️

Watch this short clip and leave your questions and impressions in the comments - I'd love to continue the conversation there.👇👇👇👇👇

Client's Accountability! ❗️❗️❗️

It creates relief and frees you emotionally and mentally so you can get more clients.
Step 9 of the Thriving Birth Worker Blueprint is: Assessing clients' accountability and commitment. Today we learned the process of fostering clients' accountability to their process- not the outcomes!

Reflect → Assess → Calibrate

Enrolling clients to take the steps they need so they can achieve their desired experiences

08/25/2026

❤️ Another sweet moment from Day 7 of the Thriving Birth Worker Blueprint

When clients get stuck in fear, doubt, or everything they’re trying to avoid.

As Transformational Perinatal Coaches, we can help them redirect toward what they want—and create momentum.

That shift is simple, and it can change everything.
BUT...
It takes practice!

08/25/2026

🔥 What if your client’s motivation is not strong enough to keep going?

In Day 7 of the Thriving Birth Worker Blueprint, we explored how to help clients move from:
“I’m afraid…” → “I can do this!"

Because when clients are connected to a powerful, positive "WHY", they’re more likely to keep moving toward their desired experience—even when things get difficult.

As a birth worker, how can you help your clients shift from “I’m afraid” to “I can do this”, from "I'd like not to have" to "I want to..."

🎥 Here’s a little clip from today’s insight.

Let's continue the conversation in the comments. 👇

❤️ And one more sweet moment from Day 6…

Something only Transformational Perinatal Coaching can help you achieve:

08/24/2026

From BRAIN to HEART ❤️

That was Day 6 of The Thriving Birth Worker Blueprint.

As birth workers, we’re experts at giving information, explaining options, and sharing what we know.

But transformational birth work asks us to go one step further:

Instead of telling clients what they need to know, we help them discover what option best aligns with who they are:
Their beliefs.
Their Wants.
Their Values.

That’s the shift from BRAIN to HEART.

🎥 Watch this clip from Day 6 of the Thriving Birth Worker Blueprint and discover how this shift can transform both your client conversations—and your practice.

What could change when your client agency is at the center of your practice and how it's tied to your thriving practice?

08/23/2026

Woot Woot! 🎉

We wrapped up Day 5 of the Thriving Birth Worker Blueprint!

Step 5: Turning Desired Experiences into SMART Visions.

5more days to go…

One 20-minute meaningful shift at a time.

One step closer to building a thriving, sustainable practice.

And tomorrow, we’re diving into something powerful:

Your clients’ motivation—their WHY—and how understanding it can help you create deeper transformation while building a thriving practice.
