Programs for TK-12th grade, will start this Fall at a new location on Charcot Ave. near Zankar, San Jose 95131, at the new home of TheShop (previously TheTechShop)

The semester will be a late start, dates starting mid Sept. through Oct.

After a challenging year and an uncertain Summer, their main location is moving to TheShop. There will be some similar and some different program options in the new location.

At 401 Charcot Ave. San Jose 95131:
-low cost family lead co-op day (divided by age groups)
-low cost teen lead high school co-op day
-low cost to free, clubs and groups ranging from academic, to social or interest based subjects (including book, open mic, film, lego, minecraft, fortnight, chess, teen clubs, etc.)
-play based classes for 4-6 year olds, kindergarten age
-enrichment classes (lead by professional instructor) for 1-12th graders
-academic classes (lead by professional instructors) for 1-12th graders
-HS academic a-g classes
-HS skill building, test prep, life-skill, child development
-after school classes

Much help is needed moving Academic Antics supplies and equipment out of the Westminster site on Shasta Ave. immediately!
We're in need of trucks and moving help, as well as packing items to be ready to move.

UPDATE:
A location has been found near Zankar Rd. @ Charcot Ave San Jose, 95131 that has available space. We need to know what the interest is, to determine it's feasibility. It's late in year to be launching a new location, so it's important to gather this info. immediately.

A lot of you are looking for an update. The short answer is, we're working on it. The long answer is that some things take time to do right, and we are unwilling to rush them. Our board voted a while back to end classes at Westminster Presbyterian Church due to multiple concerns brought to us by parents. It was a difficult decision, and not one made lightly. It really highlighted the importance of place for our community.

While we had hoped to be able to announce a new location before now, these things cannot be hurried if we want the best long-term results. Meantime, our tiny Board of Directors has been busy handling the move out of Westminster and pursuing a variety of suggestions from the community for possible locations. We have advised our wonderful teachers that we may not be able to begin classes in the fall so that they can pursue other options if they choose. We feel obligated to also let you, our community, know that you may need to find other options for fall classes while we work on reinventing Antics for the future.

For those looking for Yearbooks, I believe they were ordered a while back, but I am awaiting confirmation and more data to share.
