Playdough is more than just a fun, squishy, colorful mess!

When young children play with playdough, they learn:

1. Fine motor hand strength (pencil readiness!)
2. Tool control with scissors, rolling pins and cutters
3. Early math skills like counting, lengths, shapes and fractions
4. Vocabulary growth with new words: squishy, kneed, flatten!
5. Imaginative play by making dough into food, monsters and landscapes for dinosaurs!
6. Storytelling (pre-reading skills)
7. Independent Problem solving through cause and effect and rebuilding structures.

That's why we play with playdough every single day at preschool!

To a preschooler, science isn't a subject in a textbook, it’s a full-contact sport! Every muddy puddle, stacked block, and magnifying glass is an invitation to explore.

When children play, they are acting as tiny scientists. They are:

Testing hypotheses: "Will this heavy rock float or sink?" 🪵💧

Exploring water displacement: "What happens when I pour water into a pile of bubbles?" 🫧

Discovering biology: "Look how many legs this bug has!" 🐜

Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude as we unveil our brand new play area! Our lush, new lawn symbolizes the generosity and support of our incredible community.

Our new space was made possible thanks to the generous donations from our families and the proceeds from our fundraisers. To everyone who attended any our events or contributed to our school, a huge THANK YOU!!! Your support has turned a dream into reality, and we are thrilled to see the joy it will bring to our children as they explore and play this Fall.

We love our community and are excited to create many happy memories together!
