After 11 incredible years, Mrs. Lauren Drescher is leaving ACCEL Middle College to begin a new chapter in an administrative role with the district.

Since the very beginning, Mrs. Drescher has set the gold standard for professionalism and excellence. We started ACCEL together, and I truly cannot imagine the program without her. Her passion and commitment for teaching have shaped the lives of hundreds of young people.

Mrs. Drescher leaves behind a legacy of unforgettable units on dystopian literature, satire, the gothic tradition, and the Hero’s Journey-lessons, epic video projects and presentations that her students will carry with them long after Accel. More importantly, she leaves behind a culture of high expectations and genuine care.

Please join me in wishing Mrs. Drescher all the best in this exciting new venture. If you are a former or current student, parent, or colleague, I invite you to share your favorite ACCEL memory or a message for Mrs. Drescher below. I know she would love to remember the countless moments that made her years in the classroom so special.

We are having the 2nd Registration Workshop for admitted Accel students on 3/26 - We will used the same zoom link that we had on 3/23 for Thursday. You can start by looking at the EVC program maps to see what courses to take for your interest area https://programmap.evc.edu/academics .
Secondly, be sure to look at the IGETC courses offered at EVC in the link below- We recommend you start out by obtaining the 7 -course sequence to have these courses completed by the end of your senior year 7 Course patter- SIMPLE WAY TO THINK ABOUT IT

4 additional courses (Areas 3, 4, 5*) life science and earth science recommended completed by end of senior year
Try to take courses that will double dip for area 3-5 as GE credits AND will count for your major - Bring your questions with you on Thursday- 'see you then'
