Can one small act of peace create ripples across the world?

In this artwork, children across continents touch the same water.

Peace-sign lily pads, expanding ripples, and a blossoming lotus symbolize our shared longing and growing hope for peace.

This postcard was created by Christine, a fourteen-year-old student.

Like, share, or follow Visionary Arts to help empower young people to lead.

What small act of peace will you begin today? Tell us below and share Christine’s vision with someone who believes young voices matter.

🎧 What might we hear if we truly listened to the many voices calling for peace?

In this thoughtful artwork by Michele, a 15-year-old Visionary Arts student, a girl closes her eyes and listens. Around her, colorful thought bubbles reveal a vision of peace: children from diverse backgrounds learning together, families caring for one another, access to books and education, and people working toward shared goals.

At the center, Earth unites these hopes into one shared future. Michele’s inclusion of UNICEF—the United Nations Children’s Fund—reinforces her belief that every child deserves safety, opportunity, and hope.

The words “May Peace Prevail on Earth” travel across the composition, reminding us that peace begins in our imagination—but becomes real through empathy, education, and action.

What would you include in your own vision of a peaceful world?

Children ages 5–16 still have time to create and share their ideas for the 29th Annual Peace Pals International Art Exhibition and Awards. Visionary Arts is offering two free design-coaching sessions:

📅 September 6, 1:30–3:30 p.m.
📅 September 13, 1:30–3:30 p.m.

🎨 All art supplies will be provided.
✨ No reservation is required—just come and give it a try!
💌 Student-designed peace greeting cards will be available for purchase, with 100% of the proceeds donated to UNICEF.

🕊️ What does peace look like through the eyes of a 12-year-old artist?

In this imaginative artwork by Larry, a 12-year-old Visionary Arts student, birds from around the world soar through a star-filled sky, carrying images of Earth. Below, an open cage symbolizes freedom, while the words “May Peace Prevail on Earth” express a hopeful wish for every living being.

Through his design, Larry reminds us that although we may come from different places, we share one planet 🌎 and peace depends on our willingness to stay connected, protect freedom, and care for one another.

Do you know a young artist between the ages of 5 and 16 who would like to support this global cause and create their own vision of peace? The deadline for artwork to be received by the 29th Annual Peace Pals International Art Exhibition and Awards has been extended to September 15, 2026.

Two art museums in one day! This afternoon, I met a dear friend and colleague at the Legion of Honor to plan a very special occasion together. A beautiful reminder that art, conversation, and human connection are universal. 🎨✨

It truly takes a village to bring a museum to life! Today’s Asian Art Museum docent and storyteller kickoff introduced us to the dedicated department leaders behind every aspect of the museum. As an educator and storyteller, I’m inspired by the amazing programs ahead and excited for another year of connecting visitors through art, stories, cultures, and shared discovery. 🏛️✨

Take a look at this artwork by 10-year old Amaya.

What catches your eye first?

At the center, a white dove carries an olive branch, an enduring symbol of peace. Its wings embrace flags and people from many cultures, while the words “May Peace Prevail on Earth” unite the entire composition.

Amaya also shows people helping one another, reminding us that peace is more than a hope. It begins with compassion, inclusion, and everyday acts of kindness.

If you could add one sentence of kindness or share one image of peace, what would you choose?

Deadline extended to 9/15! Every year, children ages 5 to 16 are invited to participate in the Peace Pals International art contest. At Visionary Arts, we have believed in this mission since our inception: inspiring the next generation to cherish peace, culture, and nature.

This year’s theme, Together in Peace, feels more vital than ever. Today’s youth navigate immense pressures, from everyday stress and mental health challenges to the heavy realities of natural disasters and conflict. While we have a proud history of consecutive wins in this contest, our true goal goes far beyond award-certificates. We view art as a powerful outlet for healing, expression, and hope.

As adults, we have a responsibility to model collaboration and constructive problem-solving. By supporting young creators, we help them turn their vision of a peaceful world into reality. If you know a child who would like to join a fun and creative environment to make positive changes in our community, let’s work together to amplify their voice and build a future we can all be proud of.

Please Join our Sunday free drop in art lessons for the community in September. No reservations required. Just show up to make some art. Supplies will be provided.
Open to children age 5–18 and their adults.
