Congratulations to Professor Ashley Seering! Her film, A Lovely Uncontrollable Thing, was awarded Best Cinematography, Best Sound, and Best Director in the short documentary category at Prison City Film Festival! Showing her work in Huntsville, TX is always extra special since it’s where her teaching career began (thank you, SHSU Department of Mass Communication).

KSJS was honored and so grateful to have alumni J. Love and Ryan Scheinrock come to guest lecture (and pay it forward to aspiring future radio professionals!)

J. Love is a San Jose State University alum, radio programmer, on-air personality, and media executive with over 30 years of experience in broadcast radio. He currently serves as Operations Manager for Mix 106.5 and Bay Country in San Jose, where he oversees programming, talent development, marketing, and major listener promotions.

A proud Spartan, J. Love began his radio journey at KSJS while attending SJSU and has built a career focused on authentic storytelling, audience connection, and developing the next generation of media talent.

Ryan Scheinrock is Promotions Director for KBAY & KEZR and has been in Bay Area Radio Promotions & Marketing for the last 16 years!! Starting out as a Morning Show intern in San Francisco, he landed a gig on the Street Team and has been in Promotions ever since!
