Had an amazing opportunity to co present today! Thanks to my amazing friend/colleague for inviting me!

Let's Work Together! One of the beauties of Early Childhood Education is that so much happens with collaboration. We learn so much about ourselves when sharing practices, sharing point of views and reflections on our everyday life in and out of the classroom. How can we work together to take our learning experiences to the next level? How can we push the boundaries of developmentally appropriate practices and take them to the next level? At the end of the day when educators grow and learn it greatly benefits the children, classroom and fellow educators. Let's creative a collaborative impact together!

El aprendizaje ocurre todos los días, todo el día. No necesitamos un hoja de trabajo. No necesitamos rotaciones de centros y no necesitamos temas semanales. ¡Confíe en el juego y la exploración, y sepa que aprenderán a leer y escribir! Tengo un folleto excelente, breve y directo, y espero que pueda ayudarle a comprender cómo los niños aprenden a leer y escribir a través del juego y la exploración.

If we treat circle time as a daily ritual what do you think will happen? Think about the possibilities of creating a sacred space for the children and educators to bond. This time of day can and should be so special. How can you make this time more meaningful?

This is just one of the many resources I have created to help educators understand the importance of developmentally appropriate practices!

Sometimes, we get caught up in words like provocation and invitation. It is essential to understand the difference, but most importantly, the function. The way I explain it is that one is from the wonders of the children, and the other is the wonder of the teacher. Both should offer meaningful materials. We must be intentional and thoughtful with the experience we set up for the children. When we set up with intentionality, the children will wonder, and the possibilities become endless!

I constantly look for ways to simplify different topics for the educators I work with and beyond. I have created a brochure on this topic, and I hope it will help!

Not all children can sit "criss-cross applesauce". We need to give children the freedom to sit in ways that best supports them.
