1st September 2026 through 22nd September 2026 - Virgo is a mutable earth sign, making it flexible yet substantial. It’s not an energy that is easily pushed around, yet it’s not rigid in its approach to the matters-at-hand. It looks at what is, & asks if it needs to be changed to make it more efficient & effective in serving whatever purpose is to be served.
When combined with numerological 1 energy - an energy of new beginnings, fresh starts, & planting seeds for the future, Virgo becomes very methodical & systematic when it takes on a new project or path. The energy of “The Woman/Man with a Plan” becomes very apparent, as the plan to face the road ahead isn’t to look at it with eyes focused on the end result, but instead, with eyes focused first on getting started, then on the next step.
There is no grand “plan” as the plan is always to simply take the next step.

As you reflect upon recent days, weeks, & months, notice what your initiative actions reveal in regard to the loyalties you’re willing to act upon. & what you’re truly dedicated to serving. 22nd August through 31st August 2026 - Virgo is pragmatic energy. As mutable earth, it acts like mud - the more emotion put into it, the more it flows. Yet when mud is met with fire, it hardens & withstands.
In numerology, 9 is the energy of fulfillment, completion, & endings. When combined with Virgo’s energy, we get the energy of “The Steward of the System” - someone who is focused on making sure the system or process achieves the desired goals in very systematic yet practical or mundane ways. There’s nothing fancy about this energy - only the intention of making sure that the system is working to product the desired end result.
If the system isn’t working, it will need to be changed or replaced, & the system’s steward will make that call, or, if they’re not willing to take responsibility for making the call, they may end up having that call be made for them through the system’s malfunction or collapse.

In an experiential interpretation, this means that our emotional & intuitive truths may be hindered or complicated by what is happening in our earthly/human/mundane world, individually &/or collectively.

The Virgo-Pisces axis is “The Axis of Service”, and while the Virgo Sun shines its light upon the practice of service in our everyday lives, the Pisces Moon brings us into greater awareness of the emotional or spiritual truths & beliefs that give meaning & purpose to our acts of service.

For those of us finding ourselves affected by worldly priorities “disrupting” the Moon’s reflection of the Sun’s light, this is a call to recognize where & how our everyday routine may be out of alignment with (or altogether disconnected from) our intuitive & spiritual selves in the matters of our day-to-day lives.

enters @ 7:19p PDT, & with the Sun entering Virgo, our individual & collective focus now shifts from our creative self-expression to how we can apply that creativity in practical service to ourselves & possibly others.
Virgo's mutable earth energy represents both work & service AND health & wellness. These two purposes can be combined to represent the work we do in order to maintain the healthy functionality of our physical bodies & our everyday lives. It’s what we do in order to make our lives work - our daily routines & practices, our daily work.
“Work” is a rather objective term in this case. For some of us, it means our jobs or the services we provide in order to either gain (or use) the resources that support our lifestyles &/or livelihoods and help us meet our personal responsibilities. For others, it may have nothing to do with money – it may simply be the effort & energy we apply to maintaining our physical/material/financial health & wellness (i.e. exercise routines, food, supplements, treatments, etc.). It could also address the practical effort we apply to our ethical & spiritual journeys – what we do in order to “walk the talk” of our beliefs.
In these next 4.5 weeks under the 2026 Virgo Sun, we’ll get a closer look at our lives & the conditions around us to experience, assessing what's functioning well or exceeding expectations in our lives. It’ll also be a time to acknowledge what is not working well & needs to be changed or cleared altogether to make room for something more effective & efficient.
Something else many of us may learn during this 2026 Virgo Sun period is that Virgo’s marquee characteristics – effectiveness & efficiency – are not always a bonded pair. The most effective way to do something isn’t always the most efficient, & what’s most efficient doesn’t always produce healthy or effective results. Pay attention to how cutting corners or trying to “save” resources may end up costing you more in the long run… and how the most effective solutions to any problems or challenges may be far more basic than you think.
