Hello Spartans! We hope you are all having an amazing time at the beginning of this semester! Here are some of the CHHS SSC Student Academic Success Specialists representing our college at the CHHS 2024 Spring Hot Cocoa Social. Thank you Sonya, Marlene, and Dimple for all the hard work you do! 💙💛

Welcome back Spartans! To help you get set up for the new semester our advisors will be adding in extra drop in hours both in person at MacQuarrie Hall 533 and online over zoom.

To join, fill out a google form on our website sjsu.edu/chhs-ssc/advising during the drop in hours and we will place you with the appropriate advisor.

The extended drop-in hours will run Jan. 22 - Feb. 2 Monday-Friday at 10am-12pm and again from 1pm-3pm.

Welcome new Spartans! 💙💛 We have been loving meeting everyone at orientation and can not wait to see what you all accomplish this semester!

We are excited to welcome Adrian Campos! Adrian is joining us as an Administrative Support Coordinator, so next time you are in office stop by and say hi!

Adrian (he/him) brings a wealth of knowledge in optimizing office functionalities and enhancing organizational efficiency. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the California State University of Bakersfield.

Outside the office, Adrian finds joy in playing soccer, spending time with friends, and listening to music.

Please help give a warm welcome to Dimple! Dimple Vasavada is another of our new Student Academic Success Specialists!

Dimple (she/her) is originally from Toronto, Canada and is grateful for the Bay Area weather! She does not miss having 6 months of snow!

A fun fact about Dimple is that she played saxophone and piano throughout middle and high school!

Dimple is a knowledgeable, dedicated, and warm new member of our team and we cannot wait for you all to meet her in your advising sessions!

Meet Marlene! Marlene Perez is one of the new Student Academic Success Specialists!

Marlene (She, Her, Ella) is originally from Orange County, California. She graduated with her Bachelors degree in Sociology with a minor in Chicana/o Studies from UCLA.

She is a proud Puente mentor at her local community college, and is dedicated to guide first generation, underserved students to meet their educational goals.

Her favorite pastimes are hiking, traveling and tending to her plants.

Marlene is eager to provide advising and academic support to students pursuing College of Health and Human Sciences majors at SJSU!

We are so excited to be welcoming some new team members to CHHS SSC! Please help us welcome Erika, Dimple, Marlene and Adrian!
