5th Grade Building Geometry Cities!

Ms. Snook came to teach Mrs. Nilson’s class about the ukulele to celebrate their Pacific Islander/Polynesian unit.

Last week, Mrs. Nilson’s and Mr. Cotten’s class became structural engineers to tackle a fast-paced STEM challenge called "Save the Pool Party!" Working in teams under a tight 30-minute deadline, they had to design a high-dive platform that could overhang the water and stay perfectly balanced when a weight was placed on the very edge. To add a tricky real-world constraint, teams were restricted to using exactly 4 pieces of tape for their entire build.

Tropical Dance Part 2!
