Park Hill Elementary

No jousting about… our 5th graders had an unforgettable royal end-of-year celebration at Medieval Times today! ⚔️🏰🐴👑 From feasting like kings and queens 🍗🥔🍪🍅 to cheering on brave knights, our students traded pencils for swords and had a medievally good time filled with crowns, laughter, and FUN. It was truly a knight to remember as these brave students get ready to conquer their last chapter of elementary school! 🏫🎓✨

🥧 Pi Day Fun at School! 🥧

In celebration of Pi Day (3.14) tomorrow, our staff proved they’re irrationally dedicated to our students and making learning fun! Today, thanks to our students’ fundraising efforts, teachers, classified staff, AND even our ADMIN bravely stepped up to the plate and got pied in the face by our students — and let’s just say the laughter was never-ending… just like pi!

From our kindergarteners all the way up to our 5th graders, every grade level got a chance to join in the fun and deliver a pie with pride. There were whipped cream smiles, lots of laughs, and maybe a few messy hairstyles along the way!

It was a sweet reward for a great cause and a fun way to celebrate math, school spirit, and our amazing community. Thank you to our amazing staff who were such great sports and to our students for “pie-ing it forward!” 🥧

Because at our school, learning isn’t just about numbers but also FUN and— it’s about creating memories that go on and on… just like 3.141592…….

Great news, Bison families! Because of your commitment to getting students to school every day, Park Hill Elementary has advanced to the NEXT ROUND of the SJUSD March Madness Attendance Tournament! 🏆

But the tournament isn’t over yet…
To stay in the lead, we need every Bison showing up, on time, every day. Attendance matters, and every single day counts in this competition!

We had an un-be-leaf-able week this week taking our learning outside the classroom and into the fields of Old Grove Farm! 🚜☀️🌱
Students from every grade level dug into hands-on learning about irrigation💧, composting💩, harvesting fresh vegetables🥬, feeding animals🐑, and even picking and squeezing the day with fresh-picked oranges🍊

From farm to cafeteria, they experienced where our food really comes from — and let’s just say… we CARROT lot about agriculture now 🥕 We’re so thankful for each day that planted curiosity, teamwork, and LETTUCE have a deeper appreciation for our food and farmers.

Each day was full of sunshine, smiles, and learning that was truly rooted in real life. 🌾 Thank you Old Grove!! 🌱
