Excited to be teaching Music & Movement classes this fall in partnership with Heartwise Homeschool/ Mindy Sanchez šŸŽµ

Experience the joy of making music together in this engaging, family-style class! Participants will sing a variety of songs, explore movement and dance, play a range of percussion instruments, and even explore beginning violin.

Through interactive musical games and activities, students will develop foundational musical skills and concepts in a joyful and positive environment. Students will enjoy performing in an end of semester showcase, in a culminating celebration of Americaā€˜s 250th Anniversary (Heartwiseā€™s Fall 2026 Theme)!

I was reminded of the power of reviewing in several of the lessons I taught last week. Reviewing is one of the essential ā€˜ingredientsā€™ when learning the Suzuki Method because itā€™s where a lot of learning happens!

Our brains thrive on repetition and the chance to ā€˜do it againā€™ when practicing a musical instrument, and the concept of review provides the opportunity to do just that. Playing music you already know how to play lets you improve your playing ability by diving deeper into musical concepts, refining instrumental technique, and building on your existing skill set as you develop new skills.

I got to witness these ideas in action as my student played through all of the songs sheā€™s learned over the last six months during her lesson last week. It was incredible to see how much sheā€™s improved and Iā€™m so happy for her as she takes her violin playing to the next level. Truly one of the best parts of teaching music!

Experience the joy of creating your own music this summer! Over the course of the week, participants will learn how to read and write basic music rhythm notation. They will also learn how to create their own rhythm patterns and even mini-music compositions, culminating in a mini in-class performance on the last day.

Summer is just around the corner, and Iā€™m excited to offer a limited number of lesson packages this season! This the perfect time to begin private lessons and build a strong musical foundation in a warm, supportive environment.

Students enjoy becoming confident and expressive performers, with regular opportunities to perform around the community. Through the Suzuki Method approach, families are a part of their childā€™s learning journey through individualized private lessons, group classes, and regular practicing & music listening.

Students performed so beautifully at our recent studio recital! Everyone performed from memory and to play music together with their friends, which are just a few of benefits of Suzuki learning.

The recital was a wonderful community experience, with several parents playing alongside their children on stage as well as supportive family members and friends in the audience. Congratulations, everyone! šŸŽ»šŸŽ¶
