It was joyful week watching students celebrate community, inclusivity, and love through stories, lessons, and neighborhood parades. Everyone belongs at La Scuola! 🌈

Creativity, entrepreneurship, and service all came together this week as our Grade 3 students hosted their annual Mercato, featuring items they crafted themselves. From a school newspaper, to beaded bracelets, to bookmarks, coasters, and games, there was something for everyone, including a selection of free items to ensure that all students could participate. Throughout the day, students from other grades dropped by the Mercato to chat with their peers and makes purchases of their own. The best part? All the money raised went to support . This commitment to giving back serves as a reminder that you’re never too young to be an active participant in making the world a better place! ❤️🌎

La Scuola teachers are lifelong learners, and there is no better place for them to get inspired than . It is an honor to send educators there each year, and we all benefit from their experience.

We look forward to welcoming them back and hearing more!

This week we celebrated a homecoming of sorts on our Mission Campus! Our beloved play structure, which was relocated during construction, is finally back in use. Our students were quick to welcome it back!

Phase 2 to complete the yard is fully underway!

No “Sunday scaries” here! To close out Spring Break, a few of our preschool students enjoyed a Sundae Party hosted on campus by some of their favorite educators. 🍨🍦

This event has become a beloved tradition, hosted as part of our La Dolce Vita gala’s fundraising efforts.

And they’re off! Our Grade 8 students (and their very dedicated teacher chaperones) will spend the next two weeks exploring Italy, speaking the language, eating the food, seeing the sights, and immersing themselves in the culture.

This annual trip is truly the culmination of their time at La Scuola, and we can’t wait to follow along with their journey! 🇮🇹

Last week we continued a beloved La Scuola tradition by gifting our Grade 8 students their class hoodies!

No matter where they go next, they will always have a piece of La Scuola with them. 🩷🩵💚🧡

INSIEME means “together.”

Our annual art exhibit, INSIEME, brings together student work from our youngest preschool classes to our Grade 8 graduating class. This year’s theme, Connecting Through Expression, encouraged students to reflect on relationships. Our relationship to the world around us, nature’s relationship to itself, an artist’s relationship to their art.

Congratulations to all our students on this incredible milestone, and to the atelieristi who make this possible!

We capped off an amazing week at our Mission Campus with one of our favorite annual celebrations - Carnevale!

This year, Grade 6 students stepped into the lead as creators and interpreters, performing songs and the roles of zanni (masked characters) from Commedia dell’arte. They also performed student-written adaptations of scenes from The Odyssey and other Greek myths with prop and costume pieces created at school.

La Scuola is at its best when our students are at their best, and this week was one for the record books!

Move-in day is here and we couldn’t be more ready or excited. This space was inspired by our students, and there are no words for what it means to finally have them here.
