Game night, but make it robotics. 🤖🎮🍕

Curious about Drew Robotics? Join the team tomorrow after school for Robotics Game Night!

Try a virtual version of last season’s competition to get a feel for what it’s like to drive and compete with a robot, then take a turn driving Drew’s actual robot! Whether you’re already interested in robotics or just want to see what it’s all about, come hang out and give it a try.

And yes, there will be pizza. 🍕👀

Fall sports season is underway! 🐉💚

Fall Sports Night brought our student-athletes and families together to meet coaches, hear from our Athletics Department, and get ready for the season ahead.

From building community with teammates to competing with pride, our Dragons are ready for another season of showing what Drew Athletics is all about. And now it’s time to bring that Dragon pride to the sidelines! 🏐⚽🏃

This fall, Dragons are hitting the trails, field, court, and pitch for cross country, flag football, volleyball, and soccer… Come cheer on our student-athletes across San Francisco—including volleyball right here in Drew’s home gym at Booker T. Washington Community Center—and show your Drew spirit all season long.

The Dragons are back! 🐉💚

Last week, we kicked off the 2026-27 school year with first-day welcomes, an unforgettable ASB Welcome Assembly, shared lunches, learning across campus, and plenty of Drew spirit.

From day one, students jumped into building community, collaborating, asking questions, and getting to know one another. These moments reflect something fundamental to Drew: relationships are the foundation for learning. When students feel known, connected, challenged, and supported, they’re ready to learn and grow.

And we’re just getting started. 💚

Centered on the theme of Showing Up, this community gathering invites us to reflect on what it means to show up for ourselves, our identities, and one another.

The evening will include time in affinity spaces for guided conversation, followed by a shared community dinner. All members of the Drew community are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Retreat mode: activated. 🐉💚

We kicked off the new school year with a Drew tradition: grade-level retreats! Our 9th graders took on the ropes courses at Jones Gulch YMCA Camp, sophomores hit the lanes at Presidio Bowl, juniors jumped into the year at House of Air, and seniors cheered on our SF Giants. ⚾️

Different adventures, one big goal: time to reconnect, welcome new faces, make some memories, and start the year together.

Because at Drew, relationships matter. The connections our Dragons build with one another are part of what makes this community such a special place to learn, grow, and be yourself.

Here’s to the adventures ahead, Dragons! 🐉

A sunny start to a new year! ☀️🐉

Yesterday, new Dragons and their families gathered at Dolores Park for our New to Drew Family Social—and what a welcome it was! 💚

With beautiful weather and an incredible turnout, the afternoon was full of conversation, connection, and new friendships already beginning to blossom. Families shared sandwiches, cookies, chips, and pasta salad, jumped into games of Spikeball and chess, and picked up some fresh Drew swag along the way. ✨

There’s something special about seeing a community begin to come together before the school year even starts. We loved welcoming our newest families into the Drew community—and we’re so glad you’re here, Dragons!

Next up: the first day of school tomorrow. We can’t wait to see everyone back to campus! 🎒🐉

From Drew to Bergen, Norway. 🌊🌎

Drew science teacher Mary Kerr traveled to Norway for the One Ocean Summit and the opening of the Message in a Bottle Exhibition, continuing Drew’s connection with the One Ocean Expedition and the Statsraad Lehmkuhl.

Message in a Bottle is a United Nations-recognized educational initiative that connects students around the world through learning focused on ocean health, climate, and sustainability. The curriculum for the project was developed by Drew science teachers Mary Kerr and Talia Krahling.

While in Norway, Mary also came across a magazine feature on the One Ocean Expedition that highlighted Drew and Message in a Bottle, recognizing the school’s contributions to the international project and the work our students have shared alongside young people around the world.

From a Drew classroom to an exhibition in Norway, we’re proud to see this work continue to connect students, educators, politicians, leaders, and communities across the globe.

At the heart of the Drew experience is a team of educators, advisors, coaches, mentors, and collaborators who ensure every student feels known, supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow.

From the classroom and advisory to the stage, sidelines, DEALL trips, clubs, and everything in between, our faculty and staff bring learning to life through meaningful relationships and shared experiences.

Captured together at graduation as we celebrated the close of an incredible year. Now, here’s to a new school year–and all we’ll learn, experience, and create together. 💚
