As our students wrap up their externships in Paris, Milan, Hamburg, Munich, Berlin, and Amsterdam, they’re heading home with deep experience in IP law and a firsthand understanding of what it means to practice in a global legal landscape. Huge thanks to Professor Allison Wang and Thomas Harvey for making it all happen. 🌍⚖️

This summer, students are gaining hands-on legal experience across Prague, with placements at top firms and NGOs, and two , Sharla Williams and Autumn Johansson, working in Justice Zdeněk Kühn’s chambers at the Constitutional Court, the Czech Republic’s highest court.

The pair are comparing U.S. and Czech constitutional law, with Williams looking forward to exploring “how the Czech Republic integrates human rights protections into its legal framework.” Johansson calls the experience “such an honor,” made even more meaningful given the country’s recent political reforms.
