Attention students, residents, faculty and alumni! You’re invited to be part of the 2026–27 Pacific-Stanford Comprehensive Clinical Research Training Program. The PRIMED Comprehensive Program, an NIH/NIDCR-supported collaboration between Stanford University and University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, is designed to train the next generation of oral and dental clinical researchers by bridging biomedical research and clinical practice. This program is FREE.

The Comprehensive Clinical Research Training Program includes bimonthly virtual and in-person sessions totaling 40 hours annually. The course runs from September to April.

As part of the program, participants will undertake a group clinical research project, developing during the year of training. To obtain certification from Stanford, participants must also complete CITI training, undertake the Dentist Scientist Oath, and work collaboratively on a group clinical research project. Annual refresher training will also be offered.

Program Highlights
• Free Stanford University Certificate in Clinical Research
• 40 hours of CE-accredited training
• Blended learning: pre-recorded modules + in-person workshops
• Mentorship: work with faculty from Stanford and the Dugoni School of Dentistry
• Group-based project: collaborate in teams to develop and present a clinical research proposal
• Four virtual team meetings (two between each in-person session) to support project development

The White Coat Ceremony marks the point at which students begin providing care to patients in the clinics. We're proud to celebrate this milestone with the DDS and IDS Classes of 2028 and Dental Hygiene Class of 2027 as they receive their white coats today!

Our DDS Class of 2029, International Dental Studies Class of 2028 (San Francisco and Sacramento cohorts) and Orthodontics Class of 2028 residents officially began their journey at the Dugoni School this week. We're thrilled to welcome these talented people and can't wait to see all they accomplish in the years ahead.
