Online threats against children are rising especially sextortion and online predators.
Here are 3 simple rules every family should lock in right now:
1️⃣ Keep accounts private
2️⃣ Never accept friend/follow requests from strangers
3️⃣ Tell a trusted adult the moment something feels wrong
These three habits stop most attacks before they start.
Pause. Think. Verify.

Check privacy settings together, not for them.
It's tempting to just grab the phone and fix the settings yourself. But when you sit down with your kid and go through it together, something clicks they actually understand why each setting matters, not just that mom or dad changed something.
Make it a 10-minute ritual: open the app, go setting by setting, and ask "what do you think this should be set to?" before you answer. They'll remember the reasoning long after they forget the exact steps and next time, they'll do it on their own.
What would Dr. Phish say? Teach the habit, not just the setting.
