With a combined depth of experience that spans 35 years, I help many individuals and couples lead more fulfilling lives. My successful private practice as a psychotherapist, couples therapist, psychoanalyst and coach in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 20 years emerged from 15 years as a counselor at various East Coast and Bay Area non-profits. I have also worked with many professionals at vari

ous stages of their careers to catapult them to partnerships, executive level positions, and philanthropy. In addition to my clinical practice in downtown San Francisco, I instruct and supervise students at Bay Area colleges, universities and institutes. Teaching provides me with opportunities to share what I have learned and feel enthusiastic about with others. I was recently honored by many of my students and colleagues who voted me “one of San Francisco’s Best Psychologists.”

I have co-founded, developed, facilitated and coordinated many non-profit programs in the San Francisco Bay Area. I currently serve on the Advisory Board to Access Institute for Psychological Services where I am the Past President of the Board of Directors, and the former Board Development Chair. Access Institute is one of the premier Bay Area Post Doctoral training programs that delivers affordable psychological services for those without adequate insurance or the means to afford high-quality, longer-term treatment. As an active member of numerous professional organizations and associations, I dedicate numerous volunteer hours providing pro bono psychotherapy and consultation for various Bay Area non-profits. Currently, I am on the volunteer roster to provide psychotherapy services for Giving an Hour, and The Coming Home Project. Both of these organizations provide therapeutic services for returning veterans and their families. With a Communications degree and as the former host of a radio program, I have combined two interests by creating documentary films about fragile infants and a historical psycho-biography on film about a psychoanalytic icon, Dr. Hedda Bolgar. Dr. Bolgar left Vienna the very day that Hitler arrived in March of 1938. I have also recently created a Podcast published on ITunes entitled “Challenge Your Thinking,” to inspire others to overcome fear and move forward in their lives and in their relationships. My publications, papers, studies and podcasts cover such topics (to name a few) as overcoming fear, roadblocks to success, relationships, living with integrity, incest/sex abuse, body image, eating disorders, and people who use porn, strippers and/or cheating as a defense against intimacy.

Felicity Aston is the first woman to cross the Antarctic alone. She also led the first all female team on a life changing ski trip to the South Pole. They became the world's first all female team to accomplish an expedition to the South Pole. She is a fascinating woman with an incredible life story to tell.
