Hello Classmates and Friends:Class of 74. Our 50th Year High School Reunion is right around the corner, September 28, 2024. Looking forward to seeing everyone. We will be cruising on the bay from 5pm-10pm. Don’t forget our theme "Remember the Time" is the Roaring '20's. However, you can dress as you like. Further details on check-in and boarding the yacht are coming soon. If you have not purchased your ticket for the Class of ’74 High School Reunion, there is still time to take advantage of the advanced ticket price of $150.00. The final day to purchase at this price is August 10, 2024. After this date the cost is $165.00.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS:

For those needing hotel accommodations, you can now make your hotel reservations, located on the Oakland Marina, at either the Executive Inn & Suites – 1755 Embarcadero, Oakland, CA. (with a prepaid “Buccaneer” rate of $129.00 or a non-prepaid rate at $149.00). or the Best Western Plus Bayside Hotel - 1717 Embarcadero, Oakland, CA., (offering a prepaid “Buccaneer” rate of $149.00 or non-prepaid rate, at $169.00). Both hotels include amenities, such as: Free full-breakfast, WiFi, Internet service, and access to the marina. The Executive Inn offers nightly dining services, a cocktail bar, use of swimming pool and fitness room, and provides patio seating. For guests staying at the hotel the night before the reunion, there will be a “Meet and Greet” Gathering. (TBA) at check-in……The parking fee at both hotels is $15.00 per vehicle per night.

Class of 1974 BALBOA HIGH SCHOOLS 50TH CLASS REUNION:

Dear Classmates and Buccaneers -

Can you believe that next year we will have been out of school for 50 years? To commemorate this milestone; The Balboa High School-Class of 1974 will be hosting a50th year Reunion Celebration. Some of you may not be aware that the actual construction of Balboa High began in 1928. In honor of our Alma Mater, the “Remember the Time” theme will highlight the “Roaring 20’s” era. So, Ladies, let’s show off those fringe and sequin dresses and fellas sport those fabulous “Fedora(s).

To secure our venue, which will be on a private yacht, we are starting early. On this momentous occasion, we will be sailing from the Alameda Marina on a Private Luxury Yacht cruising the San Francisco Bay Saturday - September 28, 2024. Check-In and Boarding will begin at 4:45pm returning to the dock at 10:00pm. Other festivities are in the planning stages which will include a “Meet and Greet” on Friday night 09/27/2024, “After Party” following the Bay Cruise 09/28/2924, and “Sunday Brunch”09/29/2024 are all “To Be Determine”. This inclusive event welcomes and extends an invitation to all graduating classes of the ‘70s, our friends, and family members over 21 years of age. So……. Mark your calendar for this spectacular affair– September 27-29, 2024, rekindling memories and friendship(s).

To ensure our event is a success, our host is offering a super fantastic deal: The “100 Bucs” Early Bird Special. Be the first 100 guests to take advantage of this great price of $100.00 per person during the month of July2023. After the first distribution of the Early Bird tickets have been sold, regular ticket sales will begin, and the price will increase as follows:

 August 1, 2023 -December 31, 2023- $135.00 per person
 January 1, 2024- March 31, 2024-$150.00 per person
 April 1, 2024 - August 31, 2024 - $175.00 per person
