Our Peekadoodle students proudly showed off their classrooms this week during our Curriculum Visits. The parents were able to experience a "day in the life" of what their child experiences at school and the students were proud to show off all their accomplishments thus far. 🐢🧡

In honor of National Fire Prevention month we were honored to have a visit from a real fire truck 🚒 and firefighters 🧑‍🚒 ! The school buzzed with excitement and although some friends chose to just observe from a distance others were able to touch the truck, climb inside, and ring the bell. Our Oswald Owl class got to see how the hose works and were shown the equipment. Everyone agreed that firefighters are some of our favorite community helpers! Thanks for such a memorable visit!

Another big week of firsts at Peekadoodle! Our Academy had their first music classes with the amazing Ms Linda where they were able to get acquainted with her, her blue guitar and jump, sing, dance and clap to the music. The Oswald Owls kicked off their literary study which also means they had their first cooking class with Ms Edie. "A" is for 🍎 pie turnovers of course! The school year is now officially in full swing!

Happy 9/25 AKA Dolly Parton Day! The school was filled with pink and sparkles and the spirit of Dolly. Ms Cassie even incorporated it in to her yoga with our Kendi and Oswald students. Some of the Oswald students even had a thoughtful discussion of Dolly's quote "Find out who you are and do it on purpose." Another student said she loved Dolly Parton because she gives books. What a beautiful and joyful way to wrap up our Spirit Week and we celebrate Dolly Parton today and every day! 💖✨💖

What a week it's been at Peekadoodle! The lobby has been redone, we have beautiful new turf in the yard, every classroom has been refreshed (even swapped!) and the Pink House Farmer's Market is ready for customers. We managed to have fun with a special soda bar, gave tours of our classrooms and had some inspiring professional development. Now we just need our students and we can't wait to welcome them on Wednesday! 🐢🧡
