Meet our Fine Art & Design Industry Professional, Kevin Newman! Born in Cambridgeshire, England, and raised in small towns near Madison, Wisconsin, Newman began his formal artistic training at the age of seventeen at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in Philadelphia. One of the oldest and most prestigious institutions in the world, acceptance into the Academy was by portfolio only and was dedicated to the aesthetics, methodology, and history of fine arts, specifically drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture. It was here and at the Art Students League of New York that he trained in the classic studies of fine arts. 🎨

Over the span of his career, Kevin Newman has worked in virtually every medium and explored a wide variety of artistic styles in both the worlds of publishing and advertising. Today, the design of icons, logos, trademarks, and the world of branding and design dominate Kevin Newman’s career, attracting the world’s largest companies, design firms, and advertising agencies. Kevin Newman currently lives and works in Santa Monica, California. 🌊

Meet our Architecture & Interior Design Industry Professional Advisor, Alexandra Waterson. Waterson is an architect specializing in mid- to high-end residential design. Her values—learning and compassion—are central to her work, and she thrives in collaborative environments with co-learners, developing creative, innovative, and thoughtful solutions for every project. This compassion is evident in her genuine desire to benefit both people and the environment. 🌎

Alex earned a BA in Art from UCLA and an MArch from CCA in 2012. She began her career designing community spaces, student housing, educational and institutional buildings, and master planning. Her passion for enriching people’s daily lives through design led her to transition to residential architecture, where she has specialized since 2016. 👩🏻‍💻

Meet our Writing and Fine Arts Industry Professional Advisor, Jessamyn Violet-Cuneo. Jessamyn is an author and musician out of Venice Beach, CA. Originally from Massachusetts, she graduated with a BFA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College. She went on to earn an MFA in Creative Writing from California College of the Arts ✍🏼

Three Rooms Press published her debut novel, *Secret Rules to Being a Rockstar,* in April 2023. Her sophomore adult novel, *Venice Peach,* was published by Maudlin House Press on June 10th, 2025. Her short fiction is featured in Ploughshares, Lit Angels, 805 Art + Lit, and Adelaide📚

Jessamyn currently handles PR and marketing for artists, bringing extensive experience in journalism, copywriting, editing, design, and production. She is also the drummer for the psychedelic rock band Movie Club 🎬
